Lanatus

As a hatchling he was an 'accidental troublemaker'--too curious for his own good. This trait, combined with a trickster coatl that liked pranking younger dragons, meant he was made to endure countless lectures from the stern snapper that acted as the lair's patriarch. The den mother however defended him, seeing past the mistakes and ill-timing to the underlying sweetness in his personality. When he wasn't out exploring (and accidentally getting into more trouble) he would sit with her and listen to stories about all the places she had visited, hoping that one day he could see them as well.
Now, as an adult, Lanatus has built his childhood memories into a duty to protect the weak and shelter those less fortunate. Though he still gets into trouble, he has grown adept at using diplomacy to avoid conflict. And he has traveled the world, just like he dreamed as hatchling, going everywhere from the calm rolling plains of the Training Fields, to the intricate depths of the Golem Workshop.
He still visits his old den mother whenever he can, bringing her souvenirs from his travels, both from places she told him stories of and from the new lands that he has seen, describing them to her with the same fervor that her long tales had always held.
