Yurei

Traits:
Hostile, Wanderer, Independent

Abandoned as an egg and left to freeze on the edge of the Southern Icefield, Yurei was discovered by a foraging Tundra and spent her incubation period within a satchel. She hatched, and after taking a look at her, the Tundra exchanged her for food rations to a Wind clan where she would spend her childhood under the wings of a caretaker..

Despite being treated with nothing but kindness and having a makeshift family, Yurei never really felt like she belonged in the small clan and continuously found herself drawn to the Southern Icefield. This feeling of misplacement led Yurei to be cold and rebellious in her adolescence until one night she left the safety of the clan and headed South for the Icefield.

As the distance between her and the Icefield grew smaller, Yurei found herself changing. Her scales shed away and fur grew in. Her teeth sharpened to a deadly point and the urge to run free and hunt became so overwhelming that no sooner did her paws touch snow she tilted her head back and howled clear into the frigid air. No longer a Pearlcatcher, but a wolf.

Choosing to wander the Icefield as a lone wolf, Yurei grew up into a fierce predator, surviving solely on her instincts and independence. Though she rarely reverts back to her Pearlcatcher form, she does so when interacting with other dragons.

Funfacts:

• Even in her wolf form, Yurei is bigger than the average wolf and can be easily distinguished by her white pelt.
