Kuarsa Archivist Biography Kuarsa is the second Pearlcatcher brought to the Clan by Fireglass in the mirror dragon's effort to diversify her Clan. Unlike Zlato, she has all the grace and elegance reputed of her breed. Sometimes she exhibits her kind's snobbery as well, in particular having little patience for dragons "with a lot of mouth but not a lot of mind". Kuarsa's main passion is collecting. Before her arrival, the mirror dragon Ghostbone kept most of the Clan's rare items, especially those with runes; Kuarsa was quick to take over as an archivist and historian, protecting the items from harm and making bold plans to acquire missing items from sets. She and Ghostbone became friends and continue to work together maintaining and interpreting the artifacts. True to some of her elements' stereotypes as well, Kuarsa quite enjoys games, particularly those involving strategy. The Tigris dragons quickly learned not to bet with anything serious; fortunately, Kuarsa seems just as pleased winning small stones as coins, gems, or food - it's the winning itself that she likes. Though Zlato isn't allowed near the items in Kuarsa's collection, the two Pearlcatchers also became friends, and eventually, mates. Despite her dry, sometimes ascerbic sense of humor, Kuarsa enjoys Zlato's warm and enthusiastic company, just as he admires her intelligence. While Kuarsa is generally not as warm to newcomers as her mate, she and Zlato took a special interest in Chatoya, a plague Pearlcatcher who joined the Clan particularly young; Chatoya is for all intents and purposes, their daughter by adoption.
