Iubar
The radiance of splendor.  Iubar is the second largest dragon in the lair. Ivory and he are extremely good friends and spend a lot of time with each other. Iubar is well known as one of the good mediators in the clan. He has an unflappable demeanor, keeping a cool head and calm even tone despite the chaos that might be going on around him. Iubar is also the clan's head chef. Waking early in the day to prepare large communal meals. He excels in his work and enjoys feeding his clan. Iubar's specialty is in preparing meals heavy in meat and game, though he can do well with plant, insect and seafood too. Nerio's mirror pack goes on the hunt everyday to bring back the freshest meat for him to use. Whatever is left over is preserved and traded to the Twilight Sun's trading partner clan. Iubar has a wide menu of shadow flight dishes, like blue bandit stew, baked omen or squall seeker breast, or duskrat skewers with glow mushroom and marsh choker. He can also do wind flight delicacies as that was his native flight and recently has added sushi in deference to his clan founders being guardians who adore raw seafood. Iubar is fiercely protective of what he sees as 'traditional' meals. He's certainly not on board with all these new fangled 'fusion' genres. To him the traditional food is the art of preparing what has been done many times before you but making your own memorable. Doing it 'just like how mother made it' but doing it better to make your own take even better. Iubar is also one of the oldest dragons in the clan and is well respected as being the first imperial to the clan. Iubar is good friends with Primoris and Minerva, the clan founders. Spending most of his evenings in their company recounting the 'good old days'. His other good friend is Ivory. As two of the first Imperials in the clan, Ivory and Iubar share a brotherlike bond. Often mock teasing each other, but ready to leap to each other's defense if anyone even looks at the other wrong. |
