Consort to the Midnight Queen of the Celestial Courts

Time. Time passes endlessly. It passes without thought for those who it affects. It passes without marker and milestone except the gradual change affected throughout the world. But then, change is the only thing to mark the passage of time.

And very little has marked change the way that the stars have, celestial bodies who have existed since time immemorial, before the worlds had names, and those on them knew what time was.

There are those who dance among the stars as their warden and ward alike; the Faeries. Timeless immortals who take mortal form for the sake of traveling the world. And among the many courts, there is the Celestial Court.

Following beneath the path laid by the passage of Twilight, the Celestial Courts now seek to spread their wings to slowly cover every corner of Sornieth. They come to explore and learn, to observe the turn of the world from among its denizens. To spread belief, and faith in their brethren. And perhaps, to supplant those who might be considered unworthy.

The first change that these celestial beings wrought was with their arrival to Clan Lifemend, descending like shooting stars on a lightning strike that caused the clan to flee the safety of the Gladekeeper’s forests in the Viridian Labyrinth, and drove them high to the peaks of the Shifting Expanse, under the Stormcatcher’s watchful gaze.

It was here that the Queens and Consorts first took to brood. While they had been given their charge, their children would continue to spread the influence of the Celestial Courts across all the world. Eventually, it was their goal that every clan would house a precious star within their ranks. That no place may be untouched by the grace of the skies above.

The curious among those who have no knowledge of faerie ways might ask what drives them? What motivates them? The truth is that no one is certain, and the members of the courts are not wont to share secrets with those who have not earned them.

The advisor and tactician that stands ever at Dorcha's side, it is Solas and his carefully measured words that keep the conquesting queen steady, even when other things might provoke her to go to war. Intelligent as he is perceptive, Solas is his queen's guiding light, and the two share a deep affection that is limitless. With his cunning, he helps foresee threats to the courts. The couple could be seen as the reason the Courts have existed as long as they have, even with all things from outside that may besiege them.
