Wyke
Emperor researcher Inquisitive ⟐ Determined ⟐ Obsessed |
A self-styled “Emperor researcher.” Wyke is absolutely fascinated by them. One might say unhealthily so. It’s not that she wants to become one, as she’ll explain to anyone who’ll listen, but rather that there’s something about them that intrigues her. Any information on Emperors is coveted by her. Scrolls/books/even stories that have been passed down - Wyke will take note of anything and everything. She’s got pages and pages of research notes, both written by her and others, but doesn’t seem to have discovered anything new. It’s frustrating. No matter how often she goes through them again and again, nothing jumps out at her. She’s well aware that others are horrified by her She’s still puzzled by that. On the other hand, there are a lot of Imperials in the city. Imagine the possibilities… It's fun to speculate where she got her obsession from, but a little research into her childhood might help lighten some things.. Her mother, used to a harsh lifestyle, had seen countless dragons get lost, in battle or to other things. Possibly disease or dispute. Wyke was never raised in the scarred wasteland, and thus could look at it all from a story sort of view. She could only remember when her father died, and her mother was amadant that he had to be sent out to sea. "But why? Everyone else has a grave?" She asked curiously. "Oh yes," said her mother. "But imperials never get graves. They are not for us." Wyke's curiousity bloomed as her mother told her tales from her younger years, from when imperials died in the battle field, clustered together perhaps. And if so, in piles of three or more, people would flee or risk their lives separating them, burning or disposing of them otherwise further away from the others. "It's a curse of solitude, but don't worry, it's perfectly safe at sea." The little dragon was never satisfied and wanted more and more stories from her mother, untill she continued her curious search on her own, finding new places, new libraries, and most of all- new stories.
