Being the wife of a messenger can be a hard position. Waiting to see one's mate can be a taxing pastime emotionally. So Maia is lonely. Half of her time is spent consumed with the words that fill her head when she is left to herself, words teeming with suppressed emotion and bringing her sadness to understanding. Maia will on the occasion display her greatest and deepest feelings in an outburst of poetic monologues. The whole clan pauses to listen to these beautiful and often too profound to be fully appreciated speeches. Even the coatls are entranced by her rhythmic phrases.
The other half of the time, Maia is strong. She abides her time for when Nuncio returns, and holds her head up high for her clanmates to see.
These two self absorbed personalities are at ends with eachother, both existing fully when activated, and both inseparable from the fae herself.
It is always therefore with a bittersweet smile that Maia greets her mate when he arrives and sees him off with the next message. So Maia is lonely.
