B I O G R A P H Y

Shizi was born in a clan in the Starfall Isles, to an esteemed family who loved her deeply. She spent her happy childhood there. With time, though, she began to grow impatient. She wasn't sure why, at first. She was surrounded by books and knowledge, which told her of the greater world in words and pictures, but she wanted to see it for herself. So she said goodbye to her family, and set out on a journey. It took her all around Sornieth, to each of the flights in turn, and finally, last of all, to the Windswept Pleateau, where she stumbled upon a dragon named Bluebird.

Bluebird's Roost wasn't a clan yet. It was just three faes, moving from place to place: Bluebird, Raven, and Kaze. They were impressed with Shizi's travels, and with the knowledge that she had of the stars, and of books. They were also personable, loving, and loyal, and the longer Shizi stayed with them, the harder she found it to leave. She grew closer and closer to Kaze as time moved on, and soon they had a family. The clan was growing, and Shizi raised her own children alongside Bluebird and Raven's, and then her grandchildren.

And then disaster struck. When half of the clan, including Raven, left to serve the Windsinger, Shizi stayed behind. Her family was torn in half. Her children left; but two of her young grandchildren, Yuki and Sakura, stayed. Shizi raised them. Not long after she came across an egg, lying abandoned in the grass, and when Sora hatched, she raised her with her grandchildren.

Now Shizi is Bluebird's lieutenant. She oversees many aspects of clan life, and is especially good at settling disputes. She still treats Sakura, Yuki, and Sora as though they were children, much to their embarrassment, and can often be seen sitting contentedly with Rose or with the nesting mothers, although all of her own children are all long grown up. She reconnected with her home in the Starfall Isles not long ago, and learned that her family is doing well. They were happy to hear from her, and to learn of her clan and her family.
