Biography

Briar appears outwardly kind, albeit awkward. They’ll listen to your woes with patience, and do what they can to offer help. They want nothing more but to help the people around them, in whatever way one might need.
..But their oddities run deeper than just a crooked smile- and that kindness disguises a brutal worldview. Those who have lost their way may need to suffer great pain to grapple with the root of their problems. If I need to hurt you to help you, I have sharp words and rusted blade at the ready.

They were raised by Bel, in a castle in light territory. Bel taught them as much as he could about draconic lore, from stories of the Gods to developments of different major cultures and clans in each of the territories. This helped them feel in touch with their Nature element, while at the same time making Plague seem fascinating and mysterious, in a terrifying way. So they decided early on in life to one day visit Plague territory, once they felt capable enough to do so.
This fascination with the opposing element is what initially drew them to take interest in Scott. They meet him just outside the mouth of the cave at night to talk about...anything, really.
But then he just kept being surprise after surprise, and Briar quickly realized they understood Plague more than he did due to his sheltered childhood. They took joy in sharing what they could with him, eyeing the wasteland on the horizon all the while, still aspiring to see it for themselves. Though now, maybe they should bring Scott along...?
The hard part would be sneaking him out- he can't fly, he's too large to carry, and Taro is ever watchful for any suspicious strangers.
