Sangiovese

Sangiovese is well aware of the archetypes of luxury, decadence, and expensive taste associated with gleaming golds, velvety black, and splashes of garnet. It's the palette of gourmands, of lovers of wine, of opulence and of those unbound by traditional notions of arbitrary piousness.

He revels in just how perfectly his countenance fits everything he loves to be.

Sangiovese lives for the finer things in life-- sampling every delicacy, taking in every perfume, relishing every fine texture, taking his time to admire any beauty that crosses his path. Perhaps most importantly and unexpectedly (and probably the reason why Birch and Burl have given him work as a lair 'diplomat' of sorts), Sangiovese is a consummate gentleman, utterly immovable in his preference that friends and friends come to him entirely of their own will, with no coercion or bribery to taint the purity of the relationship or interaction. He despises dishonesty and duplicity, preferring the exquisite thrill of total parity and vulnerability between parties. A pleasure honestly earned is nothing short of ecstatic for him, especially when it's a pleasure he can cultivate and return to time and again. He finds it difficult at times to maintain friendships-- he isn't one to stand on ceremony for its own sake, and being as blunt as he is can occasionally cause discord-- but the fact that he's like that with everyone (and the absolute earnestness of his praise) tends to earn him slightly fewer scoldings than he'd otherwise receive were he a more petty individual.

Perhaps not surprisingly, Sangiovese dabbles in many culinary arts as a way to expand his appreciation for his favourite gastronomic delights. His chocolates, crafted with his familiar Amaury's cheerful help, are hotly-contested delicacies amongst Clan Qaftsiel residents.
