Pendelus

Outgoing and friendly but a little quick-tempered and rash, Pendelus is Birch's on-again, off-again romantic fling, Burl's partner in guarding Clan grounds, and one of the Clan's finest warriors. As the dragon most comfortable with discussing matters of the body, she's also Dr Sbaitso and Birch's designated 'Giver of The Talk'-- spicy as her attitude can be with adults, she's patient, nonjudgemental, and comfortably clinical when it comes to answering questions and giving moral support as the Clan's younger dragons come of age. The easygoing friendship with her past flings (Jecto, Salaam, and Dazzling are all permanent Clan residents) and the warmth she and Birch share despite their romance's intermittent nature lends her answers and teachings a lot of weight amongst the clan's former and current younglings.

Pendelus definitely retains the Ridgeback fear of water, but she's learned to overcome the worst of it since coming to the Clan. She won't set foot in running water that's deeper than the tops of her talons, still water past her knees, or murky water of any sort, but the very-shallow, stone lined basking pools Malachite has created near Tuberosa's restoration are one of Pendelus' favourite haunts to simply lounge, catch some sun, and enjoy the natural beauty surrounding the lair on hot, humid days.
