S T O R Y

Sweat ran down Aten's face, heavy breathing after a very, VERY long training session. Eros' was right by his side and the fact that his partner wasn't sweating irritated Aten to a degree where, once again, he tried to attack Eros in vain.

Eros was a strong magic user, and where he lacked strenght, he compensated with speed. So not only was he annoying to hit, Aten was also being literally blocked from attacking him. He soon stopped again and threw his sword on the ground, making a very loud "UGH" sound.

In their training sessions, Aten and Eros had a similiar winning streak, but that day something seemed to bother Aten so much he couldn't focus in the fight. Noticing it, Eros felt bad and got closer to his partner, offering him a towel.

"...Is something wrong?"

He knew Aten long enough to know that something was, indeed, wrong. Because of that, Aten couldn't help but give him a brief smile, almost like he tried to say "don't worry about it, buddy", but the words couldn't come out of his mouth.

"It's just..." Aten's words came out weak. "It's just that tomorrow I will se my father."

Ero's eyebrows raised. Ah, yes, his father. Flamma never acknowledged Aten and, because of that, Aten wanted to confront him about it. He was after all Evgeni's second in command in the Special Forces sector. It was worth noticing it, wasn't it? But he didn't. And it bothered Aten to the core.

"I will be there with you. Don't worry about it, Aten. Besides, you know my opinion about this matter. You don't need his approval in order to feel validated. You are already strong."

Eros ended up covering aten's head with the towel, just to mess with him. It did break the ice and made Aten smile, but he was still irritated with all of the situation. Eros looking pristine, the training session being a failure, the party where he will eventually meet his father that most likely doesn't even know, or worst, CARES about his existence.

He kept looking at the towel now in his hands, smiling. Eros was very caring, and maybe being in that party with his partner would make him feel better and everything would be fine.
