He had inherited the best of his mother’s manners and the greater part of his father’s easy charm, and from both combined he had been bestowed with the ability to effortlessly commandeer attention and elicit loyalty to himself. But at times, it had to be said, his lineage was more bane than blessing, for he often strived unbearably hard to be flawless in everything he did, in accordance with the expectations of nobility - and when it became clear that perfection was impossible, he felt those cursed tremors of uncertainty plague him, that struck him right to the core and threatened to crack open the gleaming exterior he tried so desperately to present to the world.” || ❤ || Born to Chrysanthos and Cressida Flairgold, Chase is known as one of the young up-and-coming leaders in the clan. He often takes charge of the younger dragonborn, and even some of the older clan members have no issue following his lead. There’s just something about him that pulls others to listen to his instructions - whether it’s because he just looks the part of a leader, or because he usually appears so passionate and knowledgable about what he’s doing, or really a combination thereof, is up in the air. |

However, for all his popularity amongst his clan-mates, Chase has few close confidantes outside of his immediate family, and he rarely displays any hint of uncertainty or frailty to others. There seems to be an odd sort of love-hate relationship between him and Laurent in particular - the two often have to work together on clan missions, and Laurent’s goal-oriented nature (get in, get the target, get out) sometimes pits him right against Chase’s insistence on watching out for the team, resulting in disagreement and the occasional flared temper. However, at other times, they seem to get along suspiciously well, and even hang out together on occasion, punctuating their conversation with friendly bickering.
