B I O G R A P H Y

Origin - Kalypso comes from Viridi Vanguard, a clan in the nature territory. But she left her lair to search the world for treasures and precious jewels to accessorize herself with. In her journey across the world of Sornieth, she heard rumors of a newly founded clan in the Reef, dug deep in sandstone and sediments. She heard that there stays a male Banescale with a treasury of gold and ancient artifacts. Intrigued she decided to visit. But upon arrival of what was supposed to be the clan's lair, she found nothing. The caves in which the clan resides are quite well hidden. But she took the challenge. Being a dragon of nature she does not have the ability to breathe underwater so she could not stay there for long to look around, and so she surfaced to take a breath. And as luck would show, she spotted two male Banscales flying over her head and then diving into the waters below. She recognized one of them, those beautiful deep blue metallic scales, there was no doubt. It was him. She dived quickly after them, barely seeing the two swim through a thick veil of seaweed growing on a face of a hill, covered in corals. Speeding up, she swam fast through the weeds and lo and behold, there was a clave system behind them. Knowing that the two ahead are not water dragons either, she knew that there should be air pockets somewhere too, so she did not need to be afraid of drowning. But going further into the cave system that led down for a while, took a sudden turn upwards where she could see a surface. Peeking out the water, she saw a big beautiful cave with glowing corals and crystals. Complex systems on tunnels leading to other places of the lair. She fell in love with the place. The Coral Cove. "You should not be here!" came a deep male voice next to her. Startled from her awe and knowing she was caught, she came out of the water and introduced herself as a traveler with no name, saying she followed them in hopes of joining the clan. "Very well, I shall guide you to our Founder, she will decide whether you shall be accepted or not." said the metallic blue male, starting to walk gracefully deeper into the lair. Upon meeting the Founder, who turned out to be a female Guardian named Saphire, she was allowed to join the clan and was even given a name "Kalypso". When she asked, "Why that name?", the Guardian simply answered: "Because I have a feeling it will suit you well.".

Personality - She is possessive of her items, be it food, jewelry or other things. What she owned was hers and hers alone. She does not share. She often bullies those that look more beautiful than her, because of her need to feel superior. And those that look ugly to her, she will simply ignore. Even though she seems like someone you do not want to be friends with, she actually has quite a loving soul. If she finds someone to call a friend or mate, she will care for them with all her heart. And those that do know her the deepest, have seen that despite the rotten personality she is really sensitive and weak.

Mate - After she was given her name, Kalypso, Saphire also told her that she can choose a mate amongst the males if she wishes to. "I choose him." said she, gesturing towards the blue male she knew that was called Azriel "He already has a mate." said the Founder. "I don't care. I want him." said Kalypso confidently and turning to look at the male who she saw was looking at her too, so she said to him in a voice that resembled a song: "I shall be you muse for the things you craft with your treasures. Armors, weapons, or simple jewelry. I shall wear them all." And he answered: "Then I shall cover you with my most beautiful of treasures so that other females would look at you in envy, for not being able to compare to your beauty, and males in jealousy for not having been chosen by you. My treasury is yours."
Not soon after, the current mate of the male, Shatter, left the Coral Cove. Many say she felt inferior to the new mate Azriel brought, so she left to find someone new. Some speculate it was Kalypso who bullied her and drove her out, wanting to be the only mate to the male. There are even those who say that Azriel abandoned Shatter because he fell in love with Kalypso and did not want to make the new mate jealous for his affection. Which is the real truth is still unknown, but what everyone can agree on is that the new female is very possessive of the male and his treasures. And because of that, there exists a rumor that she had bewitched him with a spell the keep him by her side.

Friend - Amazingly enough and to her own surprise, she actually made a real friend here, Ember. When they first met, Kalypso didn't think much anything of the female, but soon after they found out that their personalities clashed. They don't hate each other though, in fact they actually have a great deal of respect for one another. They both acknowledge each others beauty and brawn. Often times they can be seen having a casual conversation with no hidden meaning or agenda. As time passed, they found quite a lot of similarities between them too. When others are around they act like rivals, but when there's just the two of them, they laugh and have a good time. Kalypso even gifted her new friend and rival a set of golden accessories from Azriels treasury.

Role - She has no role as of yet. Most of her attention is on her mate so she does not want anything to keep her from him. And since a role is not really necessary, she cares not to acquire one.
