B I O G R A P H Y

Origin - Azriel comes from a clan in the Frigid Floes. As a dragon of the ice, he is well acquainted with water, so it was not a big change for him to come to a clan underneath the sea.
What made him think to choose this of all places to start a new life, only he knows. But perhaps it is the hidden nature of this lair, the difficult tunnels going to secret places, the fact that he can hoard his treasures in a place where others can not find them easily. All in all he has made this luminous cave his new home where he has no plans to leave for a long time.
Personality- Even though he was named after an Angel of death, it does not represent him at all. He may look mean and gloomy and up to no good, when in actuality he just prefers to be alone and does not like when others interact with him. So if anything he is just majorly introverted. He does like the few friends that he has but when it comes to strangers, he avoids them like a plague. How he even came to be accepted here, only he and the Founder knows. Though it can be imagined that it took quite a few sentences from him and a lot from the other.

Mate- Azriel never had an intention to take a mate until he met Shatter. She was sweet and caring but also hold her distance. She could see that he did not like her company at first so she tried to just make her presence be acknowledged. It took quite a while but eventually he came to like her and sometimes even make him miss her when she was not around. Eventually he thought to take her as a mate. The news of course elated Shatter; it was all she wanted. And so over time they had two clutches of eggs, five hatchlings to call their own. They were happy and content with their life. But that was until the clan got a new female, Kalypso. The first time Azriel met her, was when he just came back from scavenging in the Stormcatchers domain with Shadowweaver. She seemed to have followed them secretly and when she told him that she wished to join the clan, he was a bit exited. He didn't know why but for some reason he could not look away from her. Even when he brought her to the Founder he found himself just looking at her way and almost forgetting where they were. The way her eyes gazed unto his made him feel so vulnerable and bare like she just could see all his soul, all that he is. And they were so accepting, so loving. And her voice. Oh her voice! Like a siren she sang to him her love, that he could not refuse. He wanted her and her love! Her and her songs! Her and her everything! And he would give all of his in turn.

He loves his mate, he really does, but this new one... oh he loves him more. Was it a right choice? If asked that of him he would say 'yes' without a thought, not seeing the way his first mate would look away in sadness. Not seeing her heart be broken. Others did see though. Oh yes they did. They saw it all. Soul even tried to comfort her, saying 'not to worry, he will come back to you soon'. But that did nothing to her. She saw their happiness, saw the way his whole being shined when he was with Kalypso. So she did what she thought was best for her and went to leave the clan, said her final goodbyes to her children and her friends and went towards the main entrance of the lair. There with a final look behind she saw the female, Kalypso, looking right at her with a smile on her face.

Role- When he joined clan, he thought he could just spend the rest of his days hoarding and keeping his treasures safe. He did not anticipate that he would be made the one who manages most of the clans finances. Before him, it was the Founder who dealed with that, but then the clan found out about his massive hoard and decided that he must be very good at managing gold so they voted that he could take over the job. Reluctantly he accepted, though he does regret it a little.
Sometimes when he gets lazy, he goes to fight in the Coliseum. At first it was because he tried to skip out on the job by showing that he has other things to do. Nowadays though, he can be seen there quite often. Kalypso too comes by and sometimes even participates in the fights. Though she's mostly there because she misses Azriels company.
