The ~~former~~ kind but firm medic of the 501st; he could never save everyone, but that didn't mean he didn't try his hardest to do so. He was closest with "where there's a farm there's usually a farmer" Jesse, an energetic brother of his (they were both clones in an army of millions of clones, so it's a bit redundant to say brother, but hey) who had a massive Republic symbol tattooed over his face.

Ironic, since Jesse would follow through with order 66, thus bringing the downfall of the thing behind the emblem emblazoned on his face. But going back before order 66, when it still hadn't happened -- the dominoes began to fall after Kix was alerted to a possibly galaxy-changing event (happening to be order 66, though neither man knew what that meant) by a brother named Fives.

Kix went on to try and research the plot, investigating Fives death which occurred soon after he spoke to Kix. Kix, sadly, wasn't able to get the word to who he needed to, or get enough evidence about the orders existence.

Kix was captured by Separatists (who were ordered by Palpatine to capture Kix to make sure that order 66 was never found out about until it was too late), and put into cryofreeze. The news of the future plan died with Fives, and froze with Kix. Kix was missing for the rest of the Clone Wars, leaving Jesse alone until Jesse's unfortunate forced change in alliance (as a result of order 66) which saw Jesse dying almost immediately after.

Kix was woken up from his cryo sleep in the wreckage of the Separatist ship decades after the plot had occurred. He was unfrozen by the Crimson Corsair -- a pirate, someone he would've hunted a lifetime ago -- far too late to help; his brothers and friends had all been massacred or otherwise died.

Kix now has nobody left. He had millions of brothers, once; but now he's the last. Something bred for war with no war to fight.
