Echo was a steadfast and mission-oriented clone trooper who was especially close with fellow clone trooper Fives. The two had a rough start on Kamino with their batch, and failed nearly all of their training sessions.

This stubbornness in the group lessened dramatically after they were each given their own wakeup calls; Cutup being physically assaulted by his training officer (yikes????), Hevy was given a speech by 99 (a friend of his who is considered a genetic failure and inferior clone) and Echo basically getting yelled at. The others pulled it together, and the group -- Cutup, Fives, Echo, Droidbait, and Hevy -- managed to pass their final exam.

The five, called Domino Squad, were stationed on a Rishi moon outpost, where they were disappointed to find that really nothing happened there. Echo was the only one who was really fine with doing nothing, saying it was a good thing since he could "catch up on the reg manuals". Sadly, it wouldn't be this calm forever.
