Terrible with his words but he's trying. The trying might be more successful if he didn't always look so menacing.

Like other Spirals, Tobe has a total of two moods: obsessive manic drive and total unconsciousness. Unlike others, Tobe has honed his focus to the point where he has no trouble focusing on one thing and one thing only. The problem, then, becomes focusing on literally anything else (oops). When he's not hyperfocused, Tobe is a great multitasker--for things that interest him, of course. Trying to keep the attention of an uninterested Spiral is quite literally impossible, and Tobe is no exception.

It's the uncommonly keen perception and impeccable precision and accuracy that make Tobe such a formidable opponent, although his speed and power are also impressive. The latter were trained though, the result of his apprenticeship with the "reluctant" Lady Knight Mai. Tobe adores her and runs to her at every beck and call, desperate to impress. Mai found his egg on the edges of Light territory, washed up on the shore, and brought it back to the clan. Although hatchlings are communally raised in the clan and she had no obligation, Mai has claimed Tobe as her own, though more as a brother than a son. She watched over him as a hatchling and, now that he is of age, has formally taken him on as her apprentice. Mai has rearranged her life to fit him into it, and Tobe is well aware, wanting nothing more than to make her proud of him.
