There are things leftover from the Shade, things that managed to hide away from the dutiful Gaolers that sought to guard and protect. Most lay dormant. Waiting. But some have carved names for themselves. Some hide in plain sight, becoming childhood boogeymen.

The Green Eyed Beast lies in wait, hidden in the dark corners of well-populated areas. You might hear its voice, a soft siren song against the daily clamor of busy marketplaces.

Best not to seek it out. It has what you need, and it wants more and more and more and more. You have something it wants and it isn't going to be satisfied until it has everything.

There are stories of unlucky dragons lost at night, their path suddenly lit by green lights. The ones who make it back are different, drained of what made them them. Everything they had gone; their treasure, their patterns, their joy, and their wit. Of course, some don't make it back at all, if the rumors are to be believed.

But those are all just stories, old spiral tales to scare hatchlings out of wandering off at markets or in the dead of night. The shade creatures disappeared long ago when the lost Gaolers first disappeared- but are you really willing to risk it?
