Biography
Chromaticity is the daughter of Gorky, the daughter of Hihira, the daughter of Anzi, the daughter of Jangala, the daughter of Suivre, the daughter of Esaria (#68747). Her father, Nightshade, is the son of Dasani, the son of Leilan, the son of Tillel, the son of Renek (#43584).
She and Diaphaneity consider it their duty to produce as many Mirrors to serve the Lightweaver as possible, since the Founders seem to consider it their duty to do the same but with Tundras. None of their children had opted to stay with the Solar Solar before a Mirror from another Light clan, Bitumen, joined the clan and began to consider them adoptive parent's-siblings; afterwards, one, Gristle McThornbody, decided to stay. However, he changed his perfectly ordinary name to the outlandish "David Ryder".
Another of their hatchlings, Slate Slabrock (the third of that name), decided to stay some months later; unlike her brother, she kept her name, but like her brother, she also wished to be a different breed. Again unlike her brother, however, she actually acted on that wish, and is now a Wildclaw.
Bitumen decided to take Gristle McThornbody's place in the Lightweaver's service (much to the latter's gratitude, since he considers himself a devotee of Sockknitter, the patron of Sock Flight) during his second Brightshine Jubilee.
cxxx remained with the Solar Solar so long that Chromaticity and Diaphaneity were wondering if she was going to follow Slate Slabrock and Gristle McThornbody's example; but the day after cxxxi, cxxxii, cxxxiii, and cxxxiv hatched, cxxx went to the Lightweaver's service.
The final Roll Fizzlebeef was her fifty-first hatchling, while the dragon named Fortyfive was her one-hundred-second hatchling; between children cxxx and cxxxi, she and Diaphaneity were gifted matching Filigree scrolls, but the four-egg nest from which cxxxi, cxxxii, cxxxiii, and cxxxiv hatched was their final nest, because the Founders no longer nest and Chromaticity and Diaphaneity have exceeded their number of hatchlings by one.
