Biography

Dark Diplomat

First son of Drochspruis and Preachan, Aerdhaite is a born diplomat. He inherited his mother's poise and grace in spades, and his father's passion for problem-solving and willingness to seek unorthodox solutions. It took a while for it to show, though; he was a very quiet hatchling. He spoke gently and calmly, after much bright-eyed observation, and proved to be a keen listener. Even Caoradhromain could be seen walking with the little Pearlcatcher -- not exactly talking up a storm, mind, but tolerating his presence, which was still tremendous.

Ceotha and Preachan both took note of the child's potential -- Preachan was already starting to groom him for work as a spy, an agent who could mingle freely with the residents of both the Bramblewood Grove at large and the Witches' Garden to keep his mother in the know. Suggestions from Drochspruis, and especially Earraedhris, however, caused her to relent, and offer her son to the service of the Grove at large.

Aerdhaite took to his suggested duties eagerly, throwing himself into observation and research. He spent a great deal of time among the clans' familiars, learning their idiosyncrasies and languages. He particularly took an interest in the Beastclans, and the challenge they represented; he learned their language, their customs, their histories... And then he took to the field.

Aerdhaite is called upon whenever the clan needs to negotiate with a potentially hostile party. He particularly enjoys the challenge of parley with the Maren clans nearby, and loves to play "double agent" to secure trade and the occasional samples of toxins for his mother to analyze and experiment with. He's often called upon to mediate disputes between clan members, and is responsible for securing and maintaining a tenuous peace with the local Talonok tribes.

He can often be found on the shore, using his Maren familiars to negotiate and trade with the clans beneath the waves. The necklace he wears is enchanted with a water-breathing charm, allowing him to dip under the sea to do his own talking when the need arises. He often secures favor with local Beastclan members and tribes by using his magic to bless their fields and crops; no one will notice if a few of his sister Meirleach's handcrafted listening seeds land amid abundant food supplies, right?

All in all, Aerdhaite is charming, composed, and in general great company to have at your festive gala. Just be sure to watch the left paw while the right paw enchants your guests.

That said, while his diplomatic skills are stellar, his combat skills are somewhat lacking. Like his mother and sister, he's rather frail, though he doesn't have any overt mutations or deformities from his Plague-touched bloodline.

He has something of a weakness for stuffed mushrooms, particularly the glowing kind.
