Quintessence

Upon emerging from the soup, Tessa and Quinn looked around at all of their Aberration siblings wreaking havoc throughout clans of all flights, whether as evil overlords, embracing their heritage as beasts of decay, or brightly colored chaotic children who'd bite anything that moved and decided they wanted nothing to do with any of that mess, so the girls fled off to somewhere as far removed from Plague Flight as they could possibly muster, namely, the Sunbeam Ruins, where they'd polish themselves and raise to the highest echelons of Light Flight society with perfectly groomed hair, horns, and teeth on both heads, attending all of the poshest events and being treated as veritable royalty.

Light Flight society had other plans. Unsurprisingly, given the whole matter of Luminax, Light Flight elders weren't in favor of Aberrations, seeing them as little better than Imperials, which combined with the pre-existing stereotypes of Plague dragons as caring only for violence and being destructive to precious historical artifacts and the pursuit of the truth. No matter how well she groomed herself and tried to pass as a single dragon who happened to have two heads as opposed to two wonderful, intelligent, nuanced minds in one body, Quintessence was never accepted and in an act of desperation, fled to the Hewn Suburbs.

The girls are split on how they feel about this. Tessa feels like they should just give up and move somewhere else, either back to Plague or to Arcane if they want pretty sparkles and somewhere where folks don't mind mutations, but Quinn is insistent that she's fought as hard as she has ever since they emerged to find a place in dragon elite society and has dreamed of the sparkling pillars of the Sunbeam Ruins since then, so they're not leaving until they find themselves a place in the world. In the meantime, Quintessence works at Suki's tea shop, getting wonderful reviews from customers as the picture of kindness and professionalism in her job as a barista.
