Biography
Left Head: Leia Right Head: Amari
****
The forest Lemari dwelt most often in is where she made her home. Dense, jungly overgrowth sprawls across the land in various shades of green before giving way to twisting footpaths. A forest as old as the Gladekeeper herself where ancient mossy trees cloak the land in darkness even during the sunniest days. Around her head, the fog lingers in a swirling veil between the curve of her horns, leaving dewdrops all over her fur. She’s too focused to notice it, however, a small smile curves her snout as she sees what she’s looking for amidst the canopy. There it is, wrapping itself delicately around a tree trunk in a myriad of vibrant green leaves. As she draws closer to sniff at a tiny purple flower, she wonders how such a marvelous wonder of the Gladekeeper can be blind to its own-A harsh shove to her skull shakes her from her thoughts. “What was that for?” Leia whines, rubbing a paw across the sore spot.
“You’re drooling over some stupid flower. Again!” Amari growls with the tired sigh of one who has had this conversation too many times before.
Leia's bright blue eyes widen in shock, “This is a very rare specimen, raincatch doesn’t normally bloom like this.” She chirps excitedly. “I must study it.”
The other dragon merely groans as she lets Leia take control of her side. “Fine, but make it quick before we end up getting poisoned by these things.”
Leia merely chuckles at her sister’s worry, she knows what she’s doing, besides, she muses loudly to reassure her, “Poison Ivy doesn’t grow on this side of the forest.”
Amari turns her head with a disgusted sneer. “Are you sure? I’m not taking another stinking bog bath to-,” She grumbles displeased as a vivid memory of them falling into ivy drifts to the surface of her mind.
“No, no, there’s no Ivy here,” Leia quickly interrupts, waving a paw dismissively. She turns her attention back toward the delicate purple flowers, her thoughts already wondering about their magical properties. She doesn’t mind the magic of nature, in fact, it’s what pulled her to the reigns of the Gladekeeper in the first place. Born from a world of contagion and rot, she’d been fascinated by the relentless struggle of the land to grow and heal through roots and vine. She’d spend most of her childhood days wandering around and looking for something that gave her the answers she so desperately sought until one day she heard her call. “My beloved child, will you celebrate life with us?”
She chuckles at the memory, convincing her sister to leave the Wyrmwound behind had been a full-scale adventure in itself.
“Are you done yet?” Amari sighs, shoving her muzzle into Leia’s fur, “I’m tired of seeing all that green.”
Her talons slide and snip through the vines, quickly tucking a small specimen into a pouch before she turns her attention to her sister again. “We can go home, I’m done here. There are a few scrolls I need to look at and some potions I want to try out.” She chirps, already excited at the thought of spending the rest of the day in her small laboratory.
“Nooo, I don’t want to stare at dusty books all day,” Amari groans, throwing her head back in mock desperation. “Why did I get stuck with such a boring other half?”
“I have a batch of dried Leechroot mushrooms ready,” Leia grins, stretching her wing out and behind her.
“Fine, but I want maggots too!” Amari says, stretching her own wing with a flex of muscle that matches the other’s movement.
“Deal!” She smirks, “Let us go back to Oliae then.”
