No live-in organization is complete without someone to provide food for everyone, and for Status Quo, that someone is Chef Pava. Okay- there are obviously multiple cooks, but Pava is the head of the kitchen, and whatever he says goes. Despite his looks, he does not speak with an Italian accent, so don't ask. You might even offend the guy. Every day, Pava and the rest of the cooks provide the residents at the Status Quo headquarters with a tasty meal, meant to fill and give energy. Most of those meals tend to be soups because they're easy to make in bulk, but that doesn't mean they only make soup. Pava actually specializes in hamburgers! It's just that getting enough patties, buns, and so on for an entire base is... quite hard, so it hardly ever happens. Thus, soup it is. It's good soup, though, so no complaining. That being said, however, cooking is not Pava's only job. Pava is actually part of the Vendevice, and his job is to provide Status Quo with... illegal and modded weaponry. The weapons Pava sells are usually highly volatile, brimming with elemental magic, and far more destructive that whatever Q-Bert can get his hands on. These weapons are sold at a pretty big markup, usually, but it's more than worth it if you don't have the skills to create one of these puppies yourself. It was actually Pava's own decision to start doing this, rather than because he was told to do so. Early in Status Quo's existence, Honba robbed one of the Vendevice's warehouses- the very warehouse Pava was stationed at. The Vendevice were smuggling tech that Doc needed, and sent Honba to intercept it. While initially Pava tried to kill Honba for his tresspassing, he had to admit the tundra had some... very impressive skills, and realized that he could probably get some money out of this. So, before Honba had the chance to kill him, Pava bargained with him; if Honba spared him, he'd get him some... better toys than the shoddy guns he was using up until that point. Honba accepted on the terms that Pava would help him get the tech back to HQ, so he did. Ever since, Pava has been working for Status Quo, using his ties to the Vendevice to get them, as he calls it, "hot stuff". | xxxxx |
