The Scholars' Pet Seer

“Shall I tell you your future? Tomorrow, or the day you die? It's so strange, I can barely tell them apart...”
A permanent resident of the Scholars’ Tower, Eru was another of Master Astrantia’s numerous ‘strays.’ Restricted to the top levels of the spire for his own safety, an aura of malaise suffocates all who linger too long in his presence, should his cruel words and sharp tongue fail in driving them off. Not even Astrantia is spared the Spiral’s cantankerous nature, even if the mage’s visits are not just to make use of Eru’s powerful gift of foresight. Though any of the tower are allowed on ‘his’ floors and aren’t strictly forbidden from asking the seer what the future may hold, persuading him to share his visions is another matter entirely; most queries are simply laughed off, or perhaps worse, answered, and attempts to trick information out of him serves only to worsen his insults.

He laughs and claims that his powers come from being Shade-touched. No one can quite tell if he’s joking or not. The details of his history are vague, and known only by Eru and Astrantia, but the current rumors state that his gift of premonition is the result of cruel experimentation by another mage when Eru was a child, and that this dark mage may still be looking for his stolen pet.
