Can you feel it? Burning like fire, a burst of scorching flames rushing through your veins. Like a sudden lightning strike, making your hair stand and your skin crawl. Or rather like a rising tide, slowly turning into a storm and flooding your mind, making your blood boil until you can't take no more. The wrath. Comes in so many flavours, has so many faces, but one thing in common - it consumes you. Burns out the hole in your mind, wraps around your limbs clenching your body in violent embrance, it's slowly taking control over you, until you're but empty shell. Then it abandons you to your misery and the hunt begins again. They call it Azaakai - spirit of incapacitating wrath. Wherever it goes, the misfortune and bloodshed follows its path. |
Azaakai has emerged from the darkness, creeping behind Lime's back. She twitched her ears and casted a worried glance at it, to which Wrath responded with wide grin, exposing a row of fangs.
- What an unexpected encounter! - It laughted, but the false note sounded much louder than intended. Lime stiffened turning her front to it and tilting one of her heads, like she wanted to ask what does that supposed to mean. Such a sweetheart with a bitter twist, filled with all that anger and hatred. Dainty. Azaakai was tracking her down for weeks and now it got the perfect occasion to find Lime alone. Slipped closer stroking her fur with a tip of its' nose gently, making it look incidental. She still was frozen, unable to move, sensing Azaakai may be a threat, but also not knowing how to react. Pulled her tails closer, like she wanted to draw a boundary between her and that thing.
- No need for such a tensssion - The wrath hissed still smiling with that grand, fake enthusiasm. - I just wanna get to know you, a little closer - Saying that, it stuck tounge out and ran it over her cheek. Her heart started to pound so loud, she could hear it ringing in her heads. Sudden shiver ran down her spine, when she realized Azaakai surely heard it too.
- Oh, you're all shaken, you must've been through a lot. - Said that with the most compassionate voice one can imagine. And no one would believe. Lime didn't either, as she snapped at Azaakai with muffled snarl. She took the bait. Excellent. Wrath has approached her even closer, feeling the tingling warmth of her body and pulsating emotions ready to bathe out in any second. This is where the fun begins.
- You've got a lot to unload. Release it. - Reached to her ear while whispering and didn't have to tell her twice. Saw that wild flash in Lime's rosy eyes right before her teeth sunk into its throat. Thick, black blood spilled on her shiny, pink coat as she heard its cackling shout. The creature was laughing and she could see her furious reflection in its swirly eyes. She was just about to gouge them out and wipe that grotesque grin off its face, when she heard someone's cold voice.
- That's enough, Azaakai. - A proud, black figure appeared on the horizon. Her golden eyes cut the air stopping at creature. Her disposition was calm, but emanated with unsettling, relentless energy. Wrath must felt that too, as it shranked and crawled to the side.
- We just were getting to know each other, beside... - It mumbled, evading Elithea's sight.
- I said enough. - Black mother interrupted, her voice was piercing as dagger. - I won't let you hunt in my house. I did let you stay, but I shall not tolerate this. - Pointed to black blood slop with her face twisted in sour grimace. She raised her wing and nodded to Lime. - Come child, your friend is awaiting you. - Limerence took that chance with relief, she immiediately cuddled up in Black Mother's side and headed out in her company. Elithea has casted a final glance to Wrath over her shoulder.
- This place is supposed to be a shelter and if you'll continue being a threat to your own kin, you leave me no choice, but to neutralize you. - And she made her way out, not waiting for response, leaving Azaakai with bitter taste of unsuccessful hunt in its mouth.
