Being made of living crystal and weighing an extreme amount, Regis relies on the mechanical contraptions that he wears to achieve flight with the rest of his kin. His faithful companion Dopey, a likewise flightless Dodo, is forever perched atop his back, reveling in their shared excitement of flight.

Once Regis had heard about the Thunderwing Guild, he pounced on the opportunity to learn from seasoned fliers on the more acrobatic aspects of being airborne. Having only recently begun flying regularly thanks to his flight aids, Regis does not have the lifelong experience of other dragons. Joining the Thunderwing Guild is a dream come true!

He hopes to join a chaw of other similarly disabled dragons so that he doesn't fall behind the rest and they can all go at a similar pace. When he becomes adept enough to ride into the storms, he is sure his impenetrable and non-conductive skin will allow him an advantage that should be useful in collecting data from more aggressive storm-cells.
