Biography
She/her
When smuggling eggs out of Konungur's palace, not everything always goes to plan. As it happens, on one such blizzardy night, an egg was lost in transport, rolled by harsh winds away from the rest and falling down a steep valley. Ice eggs are capable of resisting freezing temperatures, but during the fall, this egg was cracked ever-so-slightly, allowing some bitter cold to creep through the crystalline shell. After a while, the lost egg was found by Valentine out on a stroll; by chance, the snowbank her egg had fallen into was not far from his estate. He hurriedly rushed back to the base and put the egg into Kirin's care.
When Hydrangea’s egg hatched, her wing membranes were thin and lined with scar tissue, making her unable to fly. Not long after, someone noticed a different problem--she was never able to create a pearl. There was some issue with the development of the glands in all pearlcatchers that produce pearl fluid, and hers do not work. Hydrangea tries not to dwell on it. She is usually melancholic and soft-spoken, although she has grown to be close friends with Selune and Willow. She's very uncomfortable with large crowds. Hydrangea often finds herself absentmindedly making flower crowns.
