Pateia

Pateia's egg simply turned up in the Arteries one day, and was swiftly taken to the Brooding Pools. Cath and Viscitule have a nagging suspicion as to how - or why - she was found there of all places, but Pateia's sweet if rather eccentric disposition has encouraged them to give her the benefit of the doubt.

She is, however, permanently banned from entering the Arteries, ostensibly for her own protection. Her natural curiosity got the better of her, however, and she and Lautani have been delving deeper and deeper into the depths, trying to find whatever it is that is so dangerous...

She is notable within the clan for having absolutely no sense of fashion or restraint - anything she likes, she keeps, and they are usually discarded remnants of things that weren't even pieces of clothing in the first place.

Hoard: a collection of interesting objects found on her trips into the tunnels - generally odd crystal shards, violet petals that have been crushed underfoot, fur and cloth caught on rocks, etc. She is currently trying to piece together what these could all mean.

Familiar: "I found her do - err, in the mouth of Ogoni's cave while I was visiting Lau-Lau! She seemed scared, so I kinda kept her as a pet - is that ok?
Lautani - friends. Lautani is practically grounded in comparison to Pateia, and the two often try to explore as much of the tunnels as they can before Lautani's nerves get the better of them.
Thex and Kisthe - fellow members of the Cavern Squad. Lautani never goes down as far as Thex's haunts, but Pateia has. Something in her otherworldly nature relaxes Thex, and she permits the giant pink Ridgeback to sit in on her discussions with Kisthe. Pateia has no idea what they're saying, of course, but she feels at home in Kisthe and Thex's presence - little knowing that she shares a "father" with the gembonded Coatl sitting across from her...
