Illuminated Emblem 		Even at an early age, Releaux showed an aptitude for military strategy. After joining the Illumination Infantry, he quickly climbed the ranks and became a respected leader.

Releaux always accompanied his fellow dragons while on patrol. They were near the border of the Tangled Wood when a band of rogues attacked. Releaux was captured and taken into the Shadow realm.

He was shackled to a boulder in the middle of a small, sunless valley. The rogues' leader Kalasurya would try to bargain with him, offering to release him from the darksteel chains if he revealed Light's military secrets. He refused.

Eventually he escaped on his own, but the darksteel had become permanently attached to him. He returned home, but he was shunned for having light-absorbing jewelry. He was honorably discharged and left home to find a new life. After a year of wandering, Finder welcomed him into Esoteric.

The shackles chafed against his legs, but he didn't care about the pain. He just wanted to see the sun again.

"Kalasurya took the Light from me. She took my home, my friends, and my chance at the life I dreamed of. I just had to keep hoping that she couldn't touch the light within me - I still have to keep hoping."
