Sammy used to be a bartender. Then the whole joint went up in flames, and Sammy wound up seared. Chicken-style, she says. Isn't it a funny joke? Now she's working at her own place. Sessile sees some travel-through. Marauder bands bring their junk-rigs by. Explorers bring their dirigibles. She'll fix it up, all of it, easy.

Some folks kinda remember that Sammy hasn't always been in Sessile City, but she ducks that question real fast. She always has. Always will.

Thing is, Sammy's got a mile-long line of people who may want her dead, and not the least of those are the followers of THE HUNGER, with all its gnashing teeth and out-there anger. Folks like that don't like it when someone wises up and knows to run. They 'specially don't like it when that runnin' gal is Sammy, who was pretty high ranking in the system, all told. Born into it, wouldn't you know.

But her gig now's pretty good. Just don't ask her about the reason she tosses back liquor, and she doesn't have a problem. Sammy's plenty friendly, so it's easy to look past the times she's caught checking over her shoulder.
