Character Notes:
- A seer for the royal family ; fairly young and extremely talented
- Before all of this, she was a humble young girl of no notoriety, raised in a sage village along the shores of a small island just off the coast. She never knew a mother, nor a father, nor any family. She didn't even know anyone outside of the village. The sages were her life, and she got to see all of their power, and the agonies that came with it.
However, Illu'zan showed no promise as a sage. Not until she phased through the realms.
Illu'zan was watching a ritual from afar, as she often did. The one who performed the ritual was younger than herself, a boy of rapidly growing talent. She didn't talk much with him, nor with anyone, but she knew him to be level-headed. The sages must have thought so too, thought him experienced enough for an audience.
But they were sorely mistaken.
Illu'zan has long wondered what exactly triggered the mistake. What exactly the cause was of what had yanked her into the spirit realm of A'llan. Was the boy simply a bit temperamental that day? Was the ritual too advanced, or his power too unruly?
Did it matter anymore?
By the time the sages pulled her spirit out, something within her had changed.
TBC
- However, her talent does not come without it's drawbacks. Being so connected with the spiritual world puts her at risk from it. After a particularly draining scry, Illuzan can expect to be paranoid, plagued by breaches between the mortal realm and A'llan. Her power is strong enough to pull things toward her, even when her rituals are complete. The further in time she reaches, the less coherent her readings become, and the more dangerous the process gets.
