Personality Summary: Calm, collected, the kind of person you can tell your worries to. She can be a bit too lax at times.

Clan Role: Clan Matriarch and founder. Acts as a sort of foil to Woodnymph, just as he is to her- their balance allows the clan to prosper rather than fall to their individual flaws. Much better at handling jobs which require patience or staying still for a long time, such as paperwork, but much worse at handling more active jobs.

  • Marissa- First got to really meet each other when Marissa invited Magma to a class to teach the hatchlings about responsibility and what running a clan is like, in case they one day leave and start their own. The two found out they got along really well, and have started a book club.
  • Members of the book club- Opal, Necrozma, Iris, Marissa, and Lysima all frequently come to the book club, so they're all on friendly terms with each other.

Some dragons are deliberately created by the deities in order to create clans and spread their influence, like Magma's mate, Woodnymph, the other progenitor of her clan. Others, like Magma herself... are a bit more confusing than that. Some dragons just simply appear for no good reason- as though the fabric of reality hiccupped for a moment. In many cases, you can't tell unless you asked the dragon about their origin. Magma's strange origin is a bit more clear. At first glance, she appears to be a fire dragon due to her magmatic appearance. Or is she an earth dragon? Her skin is rather earth-like. Yet her thick fur makes her seem adapted to the cold... Upon closer inspection, it is revealed that she is none of the above; she is a shadow dragon.

Truly, Sornieth is full of mysteries.

If Nymph is the overprotective father of the clan, then Magma is the chill mother. She's very calm and patient, the kind of person a clan member can go to and vent their problems to. She compliments Nymph's more active and somewhat frantic personality with her more level-headed reactions to things, preventing Nymph from going through with impulsive decisions that could negatively impact their clan- however, without him, nothing would get done in the clan, since Magma's laid back demeanor gives her a tendency to prefer inaction unless she deems it necessary, which is rare. Without Nymph, things would be put off for too long.

She lives in a burrow just outside of the mushroom Nymph made his home in, however Nymph prefers to spend more time there, since Magma can't fit very well into his home. As a result, Magma's burrow is often seen by clan-members as being both of theirs, with Nymph's being more of a personal storage area.

Magma started a book club with Marissa, a good hobby for her since it doesn't rely on much talking on her end, or even remembering much about the other dragons who come along- she can simply enjoy a book with people she knows are friends. The poor memory of tundras even allows her to re-experience her favorite books over and over again.
