Vuur is a Feuerputz. As such he was given a sector in the demon world and was master of all fires in this area, demon and human world alike. Everything the fire burned within the area could be recreated by him, which gave him a large amount of furniture, books and food at his disposal.
Vuur lived in a cave in the Demon world that is guarded by Ghul. Since he can burn them easily they leave him alone but scare unwanted visitors away.
The young Damian visited him to read in some books that were burned in the human world and they both became close friends. However, while Vuur resided in the demon world, Damian preferred the human world. With Damian's visits Vuur also got to know Snow and the other demons of Damian's household. During the time Yaro lived with Damian he taught the young Rakshasa magic.

After Damian's death Snow and Lian visit him and bring him the bad news and a message he left for Vuur, reading 'I finally found it, Vuur!'. Vuur tries to help them understand what happened at the best of his abilities and by telling them everything he knew about his friend.
When they left he tried to figure out if Damian investigated something that led to his death. By doing so he worked out that there was a connection between Damian and Samael – Samael, knowing that Vuur would be doing so with the message he left him, kills him shortly after. His death is called a suicide and Samael stages the death of another demon as Vuur's doing.
