Yaro is a rakshasa, whose home was destroyed by dragons, leaving him orphaned and homeless. Damien took him in and trained him together with his disciple Snow. Yaro and Snow grew close and Yaro fell in love with him, but realised that he would never love him in the same way.
With a heavy heart he left.

On his search for a new place to stay he met Chayton. He was amazed by the skilled, good-looking fighter and was brought to Chayton's boss Dominique. She offered Yaro to stay and work for her, and he gladly agreed.
Although Chayton was quiet at first, he soon opened up and both became friends, then lovers.
Yaro continued to stay at Chayton's side, working for Dominique and getting the questionable title as her „dog“. He, however, sees it as an honor, knowing how much he is trusted – and also seeing his title as a reassurance, that he and Chayton belong there.
Yaro can cast earth magic, forming earth and ground. He can be pretty strong, but often stumbles over his own clumsiness. He loves spicy food and watching the stars.
