▬▬ KAIBEK, Doctor ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ♢♢♢ The Auraetum | Clan Lore The Auraetum is the home of wealthy merchants and high class artisans, but among them there is a bit of an odd duck. Sitting in the corner of one of the alleys is the small home of the city's doctor. Kaibek is well known in the Auraetum for being a wonderful doctor and one of the best dragons to go to for any advice. Despite being nearly blind due to an incident in his youth, he can tell what's wrong with a patient almost immediately. With a perfect smile and a calm demeanor, most patients are comfortable with Kaibek. However, more observant visitors might see through this facade. Everything he says with such joy and friendliness seems manufactured to hide a more impersonal and clinical side right below the surface. His friendliness feels hollow, and his demeanor feels like nothing more than business. There's nothing threatening about this deeper side to him, and yet something still feels so amiss. |

Kaibek had always been a very direct hatchling. Hardly emotive, generally distrustful, relatively quiet. Calculating. But, his parents always doted on him and his sisters and he truly loved them even if he rarely showed it. Not long after he hatched, though, a violent flood swept Kaibek away from his home and injured his eyes in process. He washed up in an unknown clan and was taken in by their doctor. He was raised and taught by the doctor who found him, but Kaibek still waited for his family to come find him. Eventually he gave up hope... he thought that because he show rarely showed his emotions they must've thought he didn't love him and didn't bother looking. He vowed to be more sociable, more friendly. It... didn't feel right to him. But as an aspiring doctor, when all who visited him loved his new persona, what else was he to do other than keep it? After a long while, Kaibek finally left the doctor's clan, ready to live on his own. He wanted to start anew in a place where nobody knew this fake version of him. However, after he found the Auraetum, the atmosphere of the high-class city scared him. He slipped right back into his façade before he even knew what had happened. Maybe, he thought, this is necessary to be accepted... |
