8a6TOhn.gif Glacier spent her whole life in the Southern Icefield, constant alert for prey - and predators. Well, almost her whole life - she was born on the very edge of the Starfall Isles. Her small Clan slowly migrated father and father into the frigid south after predators had overtaken their old, much warmer and more peaceful home.

As a result, many dragons died from the cold and lack of food. Glacier and her parents were lucky enough to survive the harsh temperatures.
The few other dragons in Glacier’s Clan disliked them, as the three were the only Obelisks anywhere around. Some stood up for them, but in the end, they were cast out of the small Clan.

After many years Glacier’s parents passed, and she was left to survive on her own. Heartbroken and crushed, she wasn’t around many other dragons - partly because she didn’t want to, and partly because she was a strange breed of dragon and because of her element, Arcane.
So she was surprised when, far, far away from the coast, she found a Fire-element dragon heating fish over a blazing campfire.

Glacier, though she was nowhere near as heroic as he was, also had tales to tell of surviving in the barren lands as an Arcane dragon, of being outcast and loving her loved ones but still pulling through.

And so, after days of travelling and camping together, the two became friends. Two dragons in a harsh and unforgiving land, trying to survive.
And so, Glacier was the first dragon to notice when Aeneas’ eyes started shifting colours.

She was so proud of him, yet at the same time so jealous. How come he got to adapt to the barren, unforgiving, harsh environment when she had to continue to struggle every day? How come he got to change his element, his identity, so easily?

And then, too abruptly, too soon, he left, back to the Ashland Wastes, because he ‘needed to prove a point'.
Glacier had never felt so hurt. Not when she was outcast from her Clan, not when her parents died. The one dragon she could trust, her travelling companion, her friend, had just… left.

Days or weeks or months passed - Glacier wasn’t sure. The pang in her heart was just too much to handle, the feeling of betrayal. But she told herself it was time to move on - after all, there wasn't really any dragon you could truly trust in this world.

Aeneas hadn't meant it that way. Glacier thought she was dreaming when she saw his crimson scales in the frosty dawn sky, but she wasn't, and really, she never was. He managed to convince her to join him on his quest to explore the whole world, and with hesitation and a drop of resentment she agreed.

And now they travel, making friends and enemies along the way, calling the Crystal Cove their home after forming a bond with the dragons there. The duo has many stories to tell, and so many more places to visit.

Veins of steel, blood of ice, or so it seems
Careful illusions woven like thin webs swaying in the breeze
Hidden under lock and key, the truth never let out
A single lonely flame wavering in the night
Always searching, always learning
Deep in the heart, icy and dark, vague memories buried beneath
Hush now, listen, can you hear your heartbeat?
If someday, there is only silence instead
If someday your body turns cold as the glaciers
That flame deep within, will it keep the frigid tendrils of death away?
Keep searching, keep seeking
Time follows close behind
See the pages ever turning, see the candle ever burning
The end is where it will all begin
