As far as he knows, Oberon is the only survivor of the catastrophic collapse of the cliff that housed his all-Fae original clan. His goal as clan founder is to ward off his grief and loneliness, yet he is wary of growing his clan too much and too quickly, lest it meet the same end as his previous family.

Oberon has a connoisseur's appreciation of shiny things; an affinity that is shared by his much-doted-upon firsthatched Fae offspring Mab, who frequently brings him gifts of shiny objects she finds during her nocturnal wanderings. Since founding his clan and getting the chance to travel for pleasure, Oberon has also discovered a passion for visiting far-flung places and learning about the world.
