Biography
Klytaimnestra - The Queen, The Schemer
thank you Cake i love you
Klytaimnestra prefers worship of her people and lavish attention to wealth, but riches fit her too nicely to be ignored. She wears naught but silk and gold and gems. Having conspired with the son of her former husband's mistress, she usurped Agamemnon, banishing him from her territory and establishing her place as ruler, handling diplomatic negotiations and issues of intrigue on her own. To her new husband she delegates matters of military and trade. Her allies describe her style of rule as "iron-gripped and unyielding, but not unforgiving or unkind." She has a strong will and strong vision, qualities formerly suppressed and discouraged by the late king due to his fear of her. He was right to fear her, and failed to control her.
With Aegisthus, she is soft. The two of them view each other as equals in mind and body. She finally feels love and compassion for another, respect for another that is returned in kind. He does not attempt to dictate how she may dress or conduct herself around others; she is free to decide for herself how she lives her life alongside him. Together they are respected and admired by those who live under their rule. She would not want it any other way.
Klytaimnestra's demonic form bears no horns. Her smooth, dark skin is hairless and without blemish or marks save for the gemstones embedded like golden stars across her form. She is made of curves, and shorter than most of the others of the clan, though her presence upon entering a room commands attention and demands notice. She often walks barefoot within the halls of her castle and courtyards.
Her domain of magic is strongest in emotions and empathy, as well as some telepathic communication. She can read the emotions of those around her with ease, and can communicate wordlessly with those she is closest to. Despite being even-tempered and collected through the most heated debates and negotiations with ambassadors, the few occasions that do spark her anger result in her foes cowering in fear at the domination of her will.
"How dare you sit upon your throne covered in gold and jewels and finery! Your opulence disgusts your people, and you should feel ashamed!"
With a dazzling hand, she beckons the attention of the kingdom's treasurer. "If you recall, how much did the ruby and zoisite ring I wore to the banquet last month fetch at sale?"
"So you see, my good sir, my kind and loyal and loving citizen: any finery that touches my skin, that I choose to don for public affairs, immediately increases in value tenfold. My opulence is but the most reliable source of revenue for society. I do believe your very organization received twenty thousand gold pieces from government scholarship just thirteen days ago, is that right?"
Her smug grin snapped into a deadly scowl.
"Now get out of my sight."

With a dazzling hand, she beckons the attention of the kingdom's treasurer. "If you recall, how much did the ruby and zoisite ring I wore to the banquet last month fetch at sale?"
"About three million gold, your Grace."
"And the filigree necklace with matching gauntlets I wore to the Duchess' birthday party?"
"About four million gold, your Grace."
"The diamond earrings gifted to me by the ambassador that I was seen wearing during the Carnivale?"
"About ten million gold, your Grace."
"And to what ends from these sold pieces were the proceeds used?"
"Approximately 3.4 million gold was budgeted to public sewers to replace outdated systems and patch potential leaks based on recent ground surveys. Approximately 2.7 million was budgeted to transportation and other structural infrastructure. Approximately 5.2 million was sent to doctors, hospitals, and children's care centers around the kingdom. Half of the rest was used for pay for public servants and military personnel. Of what remains, half was used for investment in national agriculture, and the rest to smaller environmental projects."
Her eye contact with the accuser never faltered during the exchange."So you see, my good sir, my kind and loyal and loving citizen: any finery that touches my skin, that I choose to don for public affairs, immediately increases in value tenfold.
