Biography
This Bio is mostly an incomplete collection of odds and ends.
Name meaning: This is one of the names arrived at down a winding path of meaning. At the heart of it, the name applied to this dragon refers to the Eilat stone, named for a city in Israel where it was once mined. It is also still the national stone of Israel. The eilat stone contains a mix of secondary copper minerals such as azurite, malachite, turquoise, and chrysocolla, along with a few others. Eilat itself is a name meaning "A grove of trees" or "Lofty trees" etc. I liked the nod to the scene chosen for this dragon with a twisty tree behind Eloth.
Now we continue this name journey to older spellings of Eilat: Elath, and less often, Eloth. The stones themselves are always spelled Eilat to my knowledge, but I loved the spelling Eloth the most for this dragon, so we'll reference an archaic spelling of the stones' namesake and the tree(s) behind this little fae.
Additional notes: This dragon hatched on my birthday, and is primarily a nod at Malachite and Azurite combined (though the black is an additional nod at my fave stone, labradorite). This particular combo is said to be highly fortuitous for those born under the zodiac sign of Aquarius (my sign, shared with this dragon).
Quote:
"The synthesis of azurite and malachite produces a mineral which is said to exhibit the properties of each individual stone, plus some which come uniquely from their partnership.
Azurite--sometimes called a "stone of heaven"--is commonly believed to provide insight into all areas of life, promote intuition, stimulate creativity, dissolve impediments and soften cold intellectualism with love and compassion. Malachite, with its striking green bands of color, has been said to encourage action, enact change, heal heartache, enhance creativity, increase fertility and protect the spirit.
United as azurite-malachite, it is believed this mineral blends different traits together, freshens the user's outlook on life, as well as dissolving egocentric characteristics; dispelling conceit, arrogance and vanity; calming anxiety and enhancing flexibility in motion and thought."

Hatched for me by my son. Unlikely to be related to any older JBFs.
As far as I know, the rabbit's name is Finnish for "Playful."
Mate to a possible grapefruit onyx jbf.
