  1. Construct 75298089, also known by the alias Vitas, is bestowed the Fiendcat module and instance 262 of the Halcyon Project is initiated. Under the jurisdiction of Remiel, two other constructs are added to the instance: Valla and Tempero.
  2. The death streak activity is initiated. Vitas and Tempero are too young to participate in the neural threshold test. They are initially alarmed at Valla's disappearance but eventually console themselves, spending their time formulating games to play with the Fiendcat. Valla does not return.
  3. A second death streak activity is initiated before being aborted by Remiel. The young constructs display increased discomfort at the absence of Valla. The senior construct informs them that they will meet again in another simulation.

  6. Having reached sufficient maturity, Vitas and Tempero perform in their first-ever neural threshold test. Their results are fairly favourable. The mutual experience seems to have fostered a deeper bond between the two.
