Zora

Not all dragons are quite as keen to follow the rules as Zora. Since a young age he's always been quiet, curious, and most of all serious - always planning for the long-term. As a hatchling he decided to follow in his mother's path and become a festival sage, which involves studying the cultures and traditions of the elemental flights. He's interested in observing how different flights celebrate each of the elemental holidays. Most of all, Zora wishes to experience each of the elemental festivals in their native land!


Zora spent his first Wavecrest Saturnalia in the coastal clan of Sunbeam Grotto! He took note of how the dragons around him decorated every available surface with sand dollars and shells of all kinds. The clan's festival sage woke up early each morning to carve intricate swirling patterns into the sand with a piece of driftwood; later in the day, after the designs were disturbed by footprints in the sand, they quickly reformed. Shells, debris, and small creatures that washed up with the tide were treated with special reverence, given as gifts or returned to the sea ceremoniously. And of course there was a feast of seafood to end each night! Zora licked his lips as he wrote down all of his notes about the festivities.






Zora reached the Southern Icefield three days earlier than he anticipated, excitement hung in the air all around him as he made his way towards Snowsquall Tundra. It would take him another few hours after arriving at the large town to end up at the clan of Frostmoon Cove which were located along the eastern coast just after the mountains.

He was thrilled to be learning how the dragons of the Icefield celebrated their holiday. Past the passage through the mountain he came upon tall buildings decorated with garlands of snowflakes in various colors and sizes. Icicles hung from the rooftops lighting up in bright, varying hues of blue. Dragons both small and large were decorating every inch with various crystals, snowflakes, icicles and colored snowballs.

On the first day of the Gala, Zora gathered with the rest of the clan as they stood before their Leader Beliel. The first event of the day would be a hunt in which they sought out glistening snowballs called Eternal Snow. An assortment of prizes would be awarded based on how many you found. Afterwards a large feast would be held in the main plaza where they would then partake in copious amounts of drink and dishes that are unique to the Icefields.

Zora thoroughly enjoyed every second of his time with the clan and made sure to take notes where he could when he wasn’t busy having fun with the others. He couldn’t wait to see what the next festival was going to be like.






For his First Birthday, Zora decided to get a tattoo. He went to a tattoo artist in Zaratyst's clan, and had twilight colored points done! He also had an affectionate tryst with Sasayre, resulting in 3 lovely hatchlings, his first descendants.





After his first clutch was raised and off on journeys of their own, Zora found himself feeling a little homesick - a feeling he hadn't expected to encounter on his travels, and struggled to identify for some days. Sasayre took pity on her new flame and encouraged him to trek back across the sea towards his homeland, a trip which took a couple days' time. With each leg of his journey towards Sunbeam Grotto, Zora felt more and more energy coursing through his body, and when he was close enough to see the shores of his home he dove into the sea and approached from below the waves, enjoying the feeling of the sun-warmed shallows flowing through his mane.

It was a relief to find that not much had changed, if at all - there were a few new faces, travelers and newborns, and even a few other dragons visiting during or returning after completing their own apprenticeships. Zora savored a peaceful week's time lounging on the beach and catching up with his family and friends. The time seemed to pass much more slowly at home than during his travels, and he found once the week was up he was eager to set out on the road again.






Zora enjoyed his time in the Galerune Clan with Ocean. He celebrated the Trickmurk Circus and had a whole lot of fun! Strange things happen in this Clan but they were also exciting! Zora accidentally drank a potion and grew a Fuchsia Deepsea Bulb! He decided to continue journeying after a few weeks and went with Elizabeth and Storm.
