Shallow and Echo were blessed with 3 triplets. Despite being born in the Windswept Plateau, their mother's ethereal power passed down to her daughters. The river's magic runs strong in the 3 sisters. They play by the riverside, never straying far from their silent mother's domain. Cove is as silent as her father. As youths, she is happy to simply follow her bolder sisters around, as quiet and ever-present as a shadow. She speaks only when necessary, and when she isn't at play, she stares listlessly into the river's swirling waters. During these times, the water's magic sings through her veins. Cove peers into the depths, and swears she can see things looking back at her. Mercury knows Cove's power for what it is. Though her divining days are long past, The wise guardian teaches Cove the art that all water dragons know instinctively. Cove soaks up the knowledge eagerly, and her divining power runs as strong and deep as the river's magic. But eventually, a day comes where she can no longer See. Despair overtakes the young wildclaw as the Tidelord's voice fades from her ears, and the swirls in the river's current are empty and silent. She holds onto hope tightly, huddled by her mother's side, that one day the Tidelord will return and guide her visions once more.

Days passed by without so much of the faintest whisper from the Tidelord, but Cove never gave up hope. Taking comfort from her mother's, and sister's presences, and the teachings that Mercury had taught her when one evening, as she was gathering some water for the clan - a shimmer darker than normal seaweed moving quickly towards something blindingly bright? It took her a few minutes to realize that what she saw...was a vision of a dragon; a forest green spiral with brilliant blue wings. Her heart felt a intense pang of desire to meet this one. After much protest from her mother and sisters, and silent warnings of the world beyond her birthplace, she bade her family farewell and began her journey to seek this strange spiral dragon from her vision. For some reason, her heart was telling her that if she wished to regain her ability to see what the Tidelord wished, that this dragon was the one she needed to find. |
