It is considered common sense to not have a herbivore protecting the gardens and vegetables in the same way that you don’t hire a Wildclaw to protect the sheep. Sure enough they are often fierce warriors but you tend to loose a sheep or two. Especially during the cold winter nights. It’s in their nature (do not confuse with Nature as a dragon element, that’s a different story) . And that is alright. Now Mordeo is a herbivore so he really, really shouldn’t be hired. But he also feel like it is his calling in life: protecting the gardens, vegetables and crops of the city. And he has the perfect solution. Mordeo only eats carrots and he has a lot of them with him at all times . The carotene in the carrots somehow enhance the glow of his “inner friend” as he calls the thing that resides within him. Others would refer to it as a monster or a demon, some would call it a phantom, a parasite or a ghost. To Mordeo it’s a friend. They both love those carrots and his friend only shows his nasty side when threaten. At that point it eats not only carrots but also has a taste for blood. If you encounter Mordeo in this state it’s highly recommended that you run. Fast. |

On extremely rare occasions (grumpy farmers, cheap farmers or just plain idiots) he may let himself taste a veggie or two. The only one he would never poach from is the pumpkin farmer: Iphigenia. He adores her like the moon does the sun. Mordeo would be nothing without his beloved muse. She’s one of few who doesn’t fear his “friend” and doesn’t mind giving it an extra snack. He feels weak in the knees whenever she's around and he just can't keep himself from smiling. Why is beyond him and yet so obviously to everyone else.
