Lumi

Feathers brush gently on the wind, caressing the skies at night. Nearly one with the dark.
But where will you go when the wind decides to let you fall? Will you trust the skies again in wings? Or trust it on the ground, where you know you will not be blown around and deceived?
Lumi always feared the question. Lest he be let down, or flung back to earth when his mind was so far up in the clouds.
But he never let it stop him from soaring so high into the sky, that clouds turn to skies, and oxygen is brief and whimsical. Breathless and never needing to land, Lumi was happy.
Because he was a star now. Only in space will you never worry about the wind leaving you, for gravity has its limits on how much it cares. Even as wings frost over into blissful comfort.
Even as, you are dragged so far that you don’t know up from down.
Even as your eyes close.
Space takes you in its celestial arms.
And makes sure you never are left forgotten.
