Biography
Within a secluded island, referred to as Haven by its residents and The Isle of Mangoes by everyone else, a handful of dragons lived in relative peace, until a catastrophic storm ravaged the area, and in an effort to save their offspring, the parents of nests left their eggs and hatchlings where they believed to be the safest: a tiny crevice in which only eggs and the smallest of dragons could fit. Many died that day, and once the tempest had calmed, only an extremely small population of dragons remained, almost all of them immature.
The Briar lineage was mostly filled with beautiful dragons, but the reality was much more varied than that. The members were often socialites and performers, and while it wasn't a steadfast rule, they would often take on more jobs that required their skills to be utilized away from the wilderness. This lineage was open to any dragons who wanted to join, so any legacy they had was very inconsistent. They didn't care much for this though, and the main appeal for joining the lineage was to get a mentorship in one of the many social skills they had to offer.
Soritt is extremely introverted. His parents were fine with this and allowed him to pursue his passion in literature. Thus, he's extremely well-read, but had a hard time socializing. And now more than ever, this proves to be an issue. He has had a hard time adjusting to the need to work together with other dragons, but has decided to assign himself the role as a historian. He now does his best to manage a library and re-record all the history he can get since the storm had destroyed the previous literature.
Fladyquill is the main dragon that frequents his library. He used to complain, but it was due to this interaction that Soritt realized that he couldn't just keep to himself if he wanted to survive. Aside from him, Soritt sometimes forces himself to interact with anyone he can to "get more sources". It's not uncommon for Lusha to bother him, and while he criticizes her frequently, he also gets prickly if he hasn't seen her for a long while.
