Tegwen

When the King of Fairy was challenged by his wife to earn the love of a mortal, he raged for three days and three nights, destroying much of the court around him; but to do anything other than accept her terms would be to admit defeat. He is Kokiri, King Under the Hill; there is nothing he cannot do. Out he went into the world, seeking a mortal whose love he would earn.

Tegwen lost her clan in a terrible fire. She alone survived, playing in the boreal woods as, unbeknownst to her, her world burned down. Crying in the woods for someone to find her, she was picked up by a servant of the Fairy King, and brought to his sleigh.
