"Chymist?" I stood up, shivering. "Don't forget about your lab work!" Oh, i hadn't. But i was dreading today. I had made such a fool of myself. "Going!" I called back , sadly walking towards the lab.
I had just walked in, when i saw her. A tall- well, anyone was tall for me - Ridgeback standing at a desk, chatting to a guardian. "Ah, Chymist." She smiled. "Have a seat." I nervously sat down. "What is it?" "Well, first of all, a reassurance." She placed a claw on my talon, and it was as though a current of electricity was coursing through my arm. "You're not fired."
i breathed a sigh. "But i blew up half the lab?" She leaned in closer. " I've done worse. " she whispered. My whole body tensed as she came close, and i had to fight not to scream "SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!" as she handed me a pair of goggles. "Wow, thank you!" i smiled at herlike an idiot and flew off to the test tubes.
I still wear those goggles now.
