The most questionable one of the Beastclans research team, Biri goes missing for weeks. She is the type to return back with some extra rare herbs but with zero information she needed to gain on the harpies. It's not that she specifically ignores own responsibilities, no - Biri just has very short attention span. She probably decided to go there a bit later and then forgot, or the situation was dangerous and she fled, losing her way in the process, or something else occupied her mind and she needed to deal with it first.
When Biri manages to do her job, though, she does it nicely - and hands detailed, vivid reports on harpies' behavior, voice patterns, trinkets, egg quantity, feather sizes and other things useful for the clan. All of this helps to strengthen the defence of the Temple of Soul grounds, think of new battling strategies and map harpy settlements to avoid unneeded collisions.

This is actually so funny - Dustaad, her mate, needed himself a girlfriend and I had a breeding project ongoing to hatch a specific girl for him, for over a year. It was for so long that I kinda forgot what it was for and one day I saw Biri on AH and went 'oh!! a perfect match for my Dustaad? how lucky!' and bought her, realising what I have done only two days after, while nesting my project pair for seventeenth time. But Biri still stays with Dustaad because I do love her now.
