Name: Vlkanor
Title and/or Role: Scavenger and Hoard Manager
Relationship status: Mated to Tarku
Background: There was quite an outcry from the unmated males of her birthclan when Vlkanor announced she was leaving. Pretty, light-hearted, and a little bit vain, she would have been even more popular among them if she’d been even slightly interested in socialising and hadn’t had that weird habit of disappearing off for weeks and coming back with a bunch of bones, possible fossils, and bits of moldy leather.
She met her mate Tarku in a ruin, startling him and grabbing a piece of carved rock from under his paw. She liked the look of him, though, and dawdled a little on her escape so that he could catch her and they could meet properly. They were formally mated a few months later, in Aluriel’s clan, and Vlkanor set up the stone in pride of place in their lair.

Unlike Tarku, however, Vlkanor likes to keep the things she’s found. Her pebble collection is neatly organised and labelled, and she treasures her rusty corkscrews. In size order, of course. In the cases of precious metal and gems, she takes her things to Scintillant, who makes beautiful jewellery out of them.

Her tendencies led to Aluriel appointing her in charge of the clan’s hoard and finances. It works out well; Vlkanor gets a place to put her things, all the clan’s possessions are easily found – if one has memorised Vlkanor’s filing system, or just asks her – and she moderates the flow of gold in and out of the clan’s coffers easily. Other dragons do not hesitate to ask for what they need or want, knowing that Vlkanor will get it for them if she can.

Marco's eyes sparkled. Vlkanor reminded him of his best friend!!! She was like his first friend!!!! And Vlkanor was so pretty, too!!!!! Oh, how happy Marco was! He grinned from ear to ear, practically vibrating from how loud and how much the dorky Tundra was purring. And utterly delighted, he started to scribble down his thoughts on the Imperial.
